The neck on the lefty Les Paul Custom, seems at first to be ever so slightly thinner than a Les Paul Standard and whether it is this or the superior design of the guitar or the lower action, but it makes for incredibly fluid finger dynamics through the full range of frets. Solo runs seem to be so natural and flow freely at all times.

If you are deadly serious about your guitar playing, then there is really no other guitar. For beginners, I wouldn't advise the major investment at this stage, because as with all Les Paul's, this is a major financial investment, a heavy guitar and not easy for the unpractised fingers to access the top frets.
