Epiphone Les Paul Custom-Left Handed Guitar Review
Gibson bought the first Epiphone guitar in 1957 have continued to use Epiphone to produce models that not only are unique to Epiphone itself but offer the left handed guitar player great value official copies of the granddaddy Gibson models. You get a Left Handed Gibson Guitar in all but name.As soon as you lift the left handed Epiphone Les Paul Custom out of its wrappings in eager sweaty hands, the shear quality and beauty of its looks and build amazes. Cover the makers name and you can believe you are holding a Gibson proper. Fabulous Ebony, Alpine white or heritage sunburst laquer finish, together with gold hardware, classic black/white scratchplate and a lovely rosewood fretboard with block style fret markers. Oozing class, the bridge pick up has an impresive treble range, combined with the raunchy deeper and thicker of a humbucker. Combined with 3 pick up combinations on the 'dirty' setting it cuts through, producing nasty overdriven rock.
The build quality a usual for a Left Handed Epiphone is well up to the standard of a true left handed Gibson, built mainly from mahogany incorporating a maple top to give it better tone. The 24.75" scale length neck is made of mahogany with block inlays. It has 22 frets and a rosewood fretboard that is bound with a single-ply bindingThe guitar itself is heavier than most other guitars, and you will especially notice the difference from left handed Stratocaster copies. Staying in tune, even when subjected to gigging use, the low neck action makes it a pleasure to play.
It is always amazing how Epiphone can continue to produce a left handed guitar of this superb quality, at such a great value price! Highly recommended
