The neck is graphite reinforced neck which offers the stability of steel reinforcement without the weight. Like other Fenders, it has rolled edges for that “broken in” feel on the neck. Also like most new Fenders it has the thinner undercoat intended to make the wood of the body more resonant.

Although highly playable by all levels of talent, Fender Precision left handed bass guitars are not inexpensive. The American Standard P-bass starts at $1,400 from discount online portals. The Highway One P-bass is more accessible in the $700s. In between, you might find a ’62 Reissue Fender Precision in a left-handed model, but they’re not widely available. Less expensive Squier Precision basses are not really substitutes for true Fender Precision left handed bass guitars, but might be a reasonable first bass for an aspiring lefty bassist.
