BC Rich Warlock Left Handed Guitars Review
BC Rich probably make the most originally shaped, striking and unique left handed guitars around, in fact you could say they are Heavy Metal and the BC Rich Warlock left handed electric guitar is no exception. The current left handed BC Rich Warlock is also known a NT. This stands for 'Neck Through'. BC Rich were the real pioneers of this design. NT construction means that the mahogany or maple neck starts at the headstock top and continues all the way through the body to the guitar end. NT offers several benefits.
It allows the maker to cut away a greater proportion of the guitar which allows access to the higher frets comfortably, something you just don't get with a solid or bolt on neck.
All the key sound defining hardware is mounted on one continuous foundation of the same materials (headstock, fingerboard, pickups and bridge)
The lefty Warlock has a simple set up, twin humbuckers, control toggles and volume and tone knobs. It's a heavy guitar, but that gives it a better sustain to play with, but it will build your muscles up. The Floyd Rose tremelo set up with speed loader function allows string changing to be done in double quick time, yet it holds it tuneing nicely, even after heavy use.
The neck action is not the fastest in the world, but the sound is pure overdriven metal. This is what this was designed for in both sound and looks. If you can afford it, go for the platinum versions, as the pickups are better than on the beginners Bronze editions. Generally the BDSM (Broad Dynamic Sonically Matched) pickups are tested and fitted in pairs by BC Rich and they deliver a dirty, nasty, edgy intense metal experience.
You never forget the first time you ever see a left handed BC Rich electric guitar and once you play you are hooked. But don't expect to play jazz or blues on this, it ain't the blues. It is a durable, solid piece of hard edged metal.
